Summer Garden Dress...

Well I finally finished my first Dress for Margaret's Dress ups 2010...

Its all summery and light to cheer up all you frostbitten and snowbound bloggers ;)))

Thanks to Lin Lin for the painted napkin, love its translucency when it was applied to the gessoed card and her fused flowers from a Tracy Bautista workshop.

Now I'm looking at it all, its a combination of 4 different countries which i think is pretty special :) Jan in the Uk sent me the gorgeous beads which i use all the time. Greens not my color so i would never have bought them in a million years.
I love it when people send you things that you wouldn't normally buy yourself.

Tina[US] sent me the cigar box loaded with lots of fantastic goodies! i thought the smell would never go but it just suddenly vanished, I'm slowly revamping it ....
You can check more details on my FlikR if you are interested....

Now i will try and get Feb's dress done and not be late! I have enjoyed going around the different blogs and checking out all the different dresses too...

We rang our girl last night for her Birthday. It feels strange not having her here for that and it was so lovely to hear her voice even though she is sick at the moment. Hard to believe that when she gets back she will be 18. At least i will be able to work on her quilt at my leisure ;)

There are lots of little things that remind me every day of her being away, only 3 plates to dish up, only two piles of folded washing , oh and a bonus, a clean bathroom bench, lol.

OWOH GIVEAWAY....

I cant believe the response to my owoh and i will be making another needle case , not sure what colors yet ! I am trying to get around to all the comments and visit blogs, some i would love to check out more thoroughly and i will as i get time later. I'm trying to work out how to make that post 'sticky' at the top of the page too. For the moment i have added a link to my post on the side bar.

oh and go check out my workmates Jens blog [3 jens at work now, gets a bit confusing over the pa sometimes!] for her owoh. We have quick show and tells at work but it would be fun to get together and slap some paint around!

Oh Jen, your dress is very lovely. I will be posting mine tomorrow, so watch out lady. He he
I know you really miss Charlie but she will return a young woman, eager to be home to her Mum.
I love green, nothing wrong with green beads, LOL, I would chose them over any colour.
Keep creating girlie.
Lovely Les

This dress is wonderful! I'm all about dresses right now -- I'm doing a 100 dresses project this year -- I'm moving very slowly on it though!
