So, I've been doing a bit of fixer-uppering and finally put the tv unit together......
I had been looking a small white unit that fitted between the windows for ages and when I saw them at Aldi of all places , I was straight in there....
however it sat forlornly in its box for ages waiting until hubby's back to be improved ......however when that wasn't looking very likely I decided to put it together myself...
the girls helped too but then we had a disaster....

I had a few ideas about what to cover the drawers with but then I saw these wooden rulers at Typo on clearance , I knew exactly what I was going to do..... I practically bought out both stores we visited that day :)
The colors were pretty off but I spent a lovely day painting, sanding and glazing them.....
and another afternoon with the saw and hot glue gun , saw me finally finish the unit....
I couldn't be happier....
as Wendy said...its a patchwork of rulers :)
I've decided not to put any knobs on but two tabs at the top that will pull the drawers out...we wont be using them very often....
I spray painted the Ikea clock too....
....it feels good to have another two things ticked off the list...:)
and my white house is starting to come alive with pops of color .....
