Happy Valentines Day..xoxoxo

 

I just wanted to wish you all very Happy Valentines Day and tell you all how much your friendships mean to me xxxxxx

this has turned into a very long post .......


 last week we Mixed Media Gals had a lovely get together at my bare white house creating with plaster......first of all we applied pre mixed joint compound to calico........heres jenny smoothing it out.....

 then we applied the plaster tape to the calico....I did some on hessian too....


 wendy enjoying herself immensely :)

 

then we glued scrunched up newspaper to cardboard and covered with the plaster tape....

 

and we set them in the sun to dry.... I have since scrunched and cracked my calico ones, cant wait to paint it....and wendy has wired and painted her heart......it looks beautiful...

 

 

...........then we got the gellis out  and jenny placed hers over  a magazine image

 

 

and painted the details in very quickly.....

press your paper over  and ..............she had a gorgeous face.............well they both do:)                  

[oh .....and I put my curtains up last night finally......]

what a fantastic technique , I can wait to try it when I find my gelli......

not wanting to be left out I used some glass from an old photo frame........it was ok  and I got interesting effects but not as good as the gelli....the paper moved around too much....

 I did have a lot of  fun playing around on black paper this time.....

thank you all too for your very kind words and condolences regarding les, I do appreciate them very much.....her funeral is today, Thursday,  Canadian time and if you would like to honor her memory, then please light a candle and if she made you something special then take a pic [of both] and post it on her FB wall or your  blog or any group you belonged too... .........I think she would like that..:)
