so where do you start when you have been away a while longer than you meant to too...i always find to start when i have been blogless for a bit....

it seems this is the year i get my wake up call and start looking after myself....without going into too much i have been battling ill health [one thing after another ]and have not picked up a pencil or paintbrush for over a month...ive missed it but had no mojo or energy...:(

things have improved somewhat and today was a glorious day so i took some photos from my walk to the lake today.....so lucky to have this walking track near home , it always cheers me up....the wattle are just starting to blossom which is wonderful[cept if you suffer from hayfever, then i imagine you would dread the spring....]

im now going onto my 6th week sugar free and although its being tested a bit,[im taking manuka honey for my digestion issues] i havent found it hard...its given me a new interest in cooking and seeking out healthy recipes [something that was always a chore]. mostly the family like them which is good too....ive had to stop eating red meat and wheat and only eating tiny portions so its been really important to make sure every mouthful i eat counts nutritionally....the upside is the kilos are falling off :)

my computer has also been playing up and my email went down for 2 weeks and now is miraculously working again......so i have had a big catch up[and delete!] with that too...ive got lots to post and took photos today while the weather was sunny....

Happy 50th Birthday to my lovely friend Jenny whose sunning herself in Queensland...i hope you are having a great day with your family and friends...

ill be baaaack.....

Good to see you back Jen!
I did not realise you had been unwell.
Glad to hear you are starting to feel better.
We all need to take time out for ourselves.
Looks like a lovely place for walking and enjoying nature.

You've been missed dear Jen...
happy to hear things are looking up for you and I am sorry you've had a rough time of it!

I always find being out in nature is very soothing and uplifting...
it helps me catch my balance too!

Those yellow flowers are striking, like nothing I have ever seen in my part of the world.

Keep taking good care my friend!

Sending gentle healing hugs your way...

Sorry you have been feeling unwell Jenxo. Do take time and look after yourself. I know life takes over sometimes and we neglect ourselves. Sounds like walking is doing wonders in many ways. I need to get back at it as well. This week was a total loss. Never mind the mojo will return when you are ready.
Hugs and love the pics.

Great to see you back blogging Jo. Have missed your posts. I lost my creative Mojo a little while back too. Well done on making changes to improve your health. Sounds like you are feeling the benefits. What a beautiful part of the world you live in! Would love to walk there with you one day. Belated happy birthday to your friend too.
