woot woot first day of spring.....

not that it felt like it but its coming....

It would be nice if the rain would just stop [oops did i say that!] for a little while to dry out and then it could rain some more....we nearly need an ark here to get around, its that boggy!

Like my lilies? i made these at the craft show:) super easy, except i was the ONLY student [ever] whose flower fell apart at the end.

Dont you love it when the teacher tells you that? I had been watching the girl across from me who was a few steps behind and wondered why i hadnt been shown that step.

Which turned out to the most crucial.

Never mind, i got to make second one and i can sew the other one up.

back view, i love all the wrinkly goodness...

Like the blue pot/vase? Its one of hubbys. He had an exhibition in Sydney last weekend. He had the wall and his friend Su had the floor.....

Landmarks....

wood fired wall 'pillows'

He makes his own stamps from foam for his designs and then screenprints his own decals. The pots are then fired multiple times to build up the layers in his little electric kiln....

ahh, my man!!!

Wow Jen, that hubby of yours is really talented and so creative. The two of you make a great pair.
Love your flower, sorry the first one fell apart, but, I am sure it's ok now.
We are seeing colour changes in the leaves here but it is still very hot and humid. Enjoy your spring Sistah.

I love your lilies! fab colours and stunning texture! I had to smile at your class comment, I remember being the only one to mangle my tin with an eyelet setter, and I own one of those things!
Goodness what a talent you both are, love your DH's work, also one for great colour and texture I see!

What a very creative couple you two are! Those tiles are beautiful, & so are your felted(?) flowers, & isn't it great to have a partner who understands the need to create? :)
