Well its raining again, not as heavy as the torretial downpour we had last weekend, 83mm in 24hrs..... Was just a tad too much!
Half the state is underwater and more rain is predicted with several towns under threat from the rivers breaking their banks. We have been ok here but check this video out , its at a sportsground nearby...
at least there wouldnt be any crocodiles....
I spent a rainy Saturday making tin foil backgrounds. I saw this bedside table that had been foiled and painted on a blog and thought that make a nice background.
so i stuck crumpled tin foil onto cardbord,in random pieces.

I left gaps on one just to see what would happen. Used a blue serviette to wipe up the gel medium and it left the color behind ...)
Metallic paints.....
metallic paints and alcohol inks...
two sides, one with black stazon rubbed over to hilight the foil....

Oh MY on all that rain, leave it to kids to have fun no matter what. Seeing the goal posts really put it in perspective...it's dry as a bone here in Virginia ... feast or famine I guess. Hope things get back to normal for you real soon!
Your foil backgrounds are WOW, thank for sharing the links and how to Jen!
Stay dry dear friend!

Now you know I love this background technique Jen. This is on my to do list. Of course the paints are out all over my table and I have lovely metallics so may give this a go but not yet.

Fabulous card! Hope your weather improves soon x
Hope things have dried up for you Jen. The weather has been so wet hasn't it? I know we are all well and truly tired of the wind and rain down here in Melbourne. And we haven't had anywhere near as much as the country area's.
Your tin foil background is fantastic. You put colors together beautifully.
Hope the sun has been shining up your part of Vic today.

What a fun idea!
Beautiful work and thank you for showing us the process. Saw your great Japanese fabric and gift on Patty's blog!
