belated post....

Gosh about time i updated!!

not having a working camera is not helping , some things just do not scan well :(

i haven't been feeling very Christmassy and its all conspiring against me at work.
Think i might have some disappointed customers and get yelled at this week. who'd
be in curtains at Christmas!!
Its made me really think about what i want to do with the rest of my life and i know i don't want to be doing this next Christmas........I'm really over feeling stressed and being so self absorbed with work.its really consumed me the last few months and it doesn't seem to matter how much you do its never enough!

Enough venting!

i have been making Christmas cards this weekend. Bought these little crystal stickers at work and i like being able to combine commercial things with my messy style.

Les sent me some lovely painted
napkin and i ripped it up and used it as a base for the stickers. a bit of stitching and voila ! they are done......

this has anagalypta wallpaper as its base, lots of lovely texture....

Lin Lin sent a button angel enclosed in this gorgeous silver paper, like crepe paper, it was perfect for these stickers.

i have new addiction too.....making these button fairies... Ive got heaps more done and they are in the mail so i cant show you yet....this one doesn't have home. sorry for the blurry pic , scanned again but i doctored it a bit in photobucket....
I organised a swap for Christmas and am still waiting on one so will post those soon....

Flapper button fairy /angel

I'll get organised soon and post some pics of all the lovelies I've received lately.....
on the kidlet front, lucy is away on schoolies, down at the beach near Portland.ive missed her , its been very quiet.... a taste of things to come , i think.
Charlie has finished school and has her yr 10 formal this week. she was hoping to get lots of work but has had her hours cut while they train new staff. Shes trying to save as much as possible before she goes.

..so much to do before then, don't know how I'm going to get her Ted fixed before then!!

Hope you all have good week... jenxo

Jen your cards are beautiful and I just love your button fairies - have been lucky enough to see these in the flesh and know they would look just adorable hanging on the christmas tree.
I truly think that we are exactly where we are meant to be in this moment and it is in some of those situations like work where we begin to question what is really important that then push us in new directions....who knows what adventures lay ahead!!

All gorgeous Jen, especially the button angel!! And try not to let yourself get stressed over other people's issues. I know it is hard when it is work though... Hope you work out what you want to do (it is amazing sometimes what actually makes us work it out!)

I'm so sorry that things have been stressful! It always seems to be that way at the holidays, no matter what is happening. Don't take it to heart. I just love your little inchies! It's so neat to see you using things people send you to come up with your own creations! Your button fairy is lovely. I have made 4 already this weekend and I'm hooked, too!

Jen I think your cards are great. I know about stress at this time. All is not going as I would like either. But, I know that it will get better, as it will for you too. And isn't Christmas about stretching us to our max? Like rubberband people. Breathe. And Smile. XOXOXO Tina

Jen, I have been a bit tardy and haven't dropped by for awhile but I got a lovely surprise to see your cards! They are just lovely! I am a fan of sewing on card too. Words of encouragement to keep hanging in there. Its just Christmas and for some reason the public can turn on you lol! The mania will only last until Boxing Day!(hopefully).

Hope work straightens itself out. I hear you about never enough, seems the more you do the more is expected and more and more.
Wouldn't it be nice to stay home and so what you wanted to do?
