challenge, inkurable stampers....

i made this card for inkurable stampers music challenge...

i dont have many stamps but when i saw this i just had to have go.... my only problem [and it was rather a large one] was that the wax peeled off or i couldnt remove the stamp, [or worse still took bits of the foam stamp with it!]

Anyhow, this one was a keeper :)

i used an old opera book page as the base, gel transfer, twinklings and when they got really thick and syrupy i brushed them over the raised bits.

guess it hasnt been a keeper for long, its traded!

i love the look of these so i will keep perservering, im wondering if my cereal box base was too flexible....or the wax didnt want to stick to the twinklings rather than acrylic paint.

Gorgeous Jen - and thanks for the link! Wax and acrylic paint aren't usually a good combination so I'd have thought the twinkling paints would have been a better option so maybe try mat board next time???

Brilliant creation Jen, how could you part with it :)
Margaret has some great tips and eye candy on her blog on beeswax stamping.
We figured out from Thealie's great tutorial that she uses a release. Versamark works like a charm. I know that letting the wax cool just the right amount of time helps you tip the stamp back and away from the card...make sense!
Beeswax is wonderful to work with!
