Fused plastic.....

for the last few weeks i have been playing around with fusing grocery/shopping bags etc. its not that fumy and the fp makes great surface to work on. being plastic of course, its so tough and durable too.
ive uploaded two tutes [on rhs], one on making the plastic... i did mine with 8 layers but you can do it with four.
The second tute is how i decorated it and how to piece it togtether [mainly because its not as hard as it looks!]
if you are not sure of anything, you can always email me too!

Here are the atcs i made but i think some notebooks or journals or lucys wallet would be wonderful too.......

OH Jen!!! what gorgeous pieces you've created = REALLY Fab!!! This is something I have thought about, started hording plastic bags and now you show me this!!! I don't know whether to felt bars of soap or fuse plastic and of course I'm supposed to be cleaning up around here :)
Looks like you've done a lot more than just iron plastic bags!!!!

Jen-these are just wonderful. You have really done wonders with this technique! I'd love to trade with you when I get my fused cards made. I made some fused material but haven't painted it yet. Glad I waited so I can read your tut first.

Well well well you finally did it. I haven't done anymore FP but I plan to. I love using up these bags, they are starting to become a thing of the past tho around here, plastic is going and fabric bags in their place. Who would have thought? Great tut and thanks for sharing it with us Jenxo

Fabulous Jen!! I love all the bright colours and the stitching really does it for me! I'd love to trade but at the moment I am plastic-bag-less as I donated all my plastic to the local op shops when I had my big clean out!! But I could offer to make another sort of plastic based ATC - let me know if you are interested...
